Tracy and Ryan fell in love with Cortina on the slopes, and they wanted their wedding to feel like the best ski weekend of their lives, shared with friends who had travelled from around the world. “Cortina Lovers” became the thread of everything, from the welcome bags waiting in every room to the retro ski signage that greeted their guests.
We built the celebration around winter rather than in spite of it: snow, lifts, mountain huts and the unmistakable silhouette of the Cinque Torri, with every detail planned so that guests could simply enjoy the mountains.
The Day
Guests rode the lifts up to Rifugio Scoiattoli, where an aisle carved into the snow led to a floral arch in soft blues and whites, framed by the towers of the Cinque Torri. After the vows, the couple and many of their friends clicked into their skis and headed down the slopes still in black tie and wedding dresses.
In the evening the celebration moved indoors for dinner: blue linen, toile plates, a tower of Sicilian cannoli and a cake cut beneath fireworks on the terrace. After the first dance, Tracy and Ryan slipped out for a quiet walk through the lights of Cortina.
