Mia and Boone brought their families to Cortina for a summer weekend that unfolded in the very heart of the town. It began with a rehearsal dinner on the terrace of Hotel Ancora, beneath white umbrellas and facing the bell tower, with long conversations, toasts and the evening light fading over the Dolomites.
From the start, the brief was elegance without formality: a celebration where grandparents, children and friends would all feel at home.
The Day
The next day they married in the Basilica of Saints Philip and James, dressed with columns of white flowers at the entrance and an aisle of roses, delphiniums and candlelight leading to the baroque altar.
The reception continued at Dolomiti Lodge Alverà, just above Cortina: long tables beneath the wooden beams, tall white centrepieces, menus with the couple’s monogram, harp and violin during the meal and dancing on the terrace, with a classic car waiting in the meadow and a berry-crowned cake facing the mountains.
