About Viviana

The Woman Behind Wedding in Cortina

For Viviana Reatti, the Dolomites are not a destination discovered through work, but the place that shaped her understanding of beauty, hospitality and discretion long before weddings became her profession.

Roots in Cortina d’Ampezzo

To know a place deeply is to recognise what cannot be learned from a map.

The Dolomites enter people’s lives in very different ways. Some encounter them during a journey and decide to return year after year; others remember the first light on the peaks or the particular silence that follows the snow. For Viviana, there was never a first encounter. Cortina d’Ampezzo is the place in which she grew up, where the landscape accompanied the ordinary rhythm of family life and where each season taught her to look at the same mountains with different eyes.

Belonging to a territory means knowing its most celebrated views, but also understanding its habits, its limits and its unspoken codes. It means recognising how quickly the weather can change, how distances feel different at altitude and how much depends on relationships built over time. This intimate knowledge now informs every wedding Viviana plans, allowing her to interpret the mountains not as a backdrop, but as a living part of the celebration.

Family, Hospitality & Discretion

Elegance is often revealed by what does not need to be displayed.

Viviana comes from a family historically rooted in Cortina, whose activities placed hospitality, personal relationships and contact with an international clientele at the centre of everyday life. For years, the family business in Cortina also brought her into daily contact with a highly discerning international clientele, teaching her from an early age that true discretion is expressed through behaviour rather than declared. Growing up in that environment meant observing, often without anyone needing to explain it, how attention can be offered without becoming intrusive and how the most discerning guests value authenticity, precision and privacy more than visible excess.

The presence of prominent personalities and travellers from different cultures also taught her that discretion is not a marketing promise, but a form of education. Through the family business and her later experiences in the film world, Viviana encountered an extraordinary range of personalities, from international travellers to figures such as Sylvester Stallone and Anthony Quinn. What stayed with her, however, was never the status of the person in front of her, but the importance of making everyone feel respected, comfortable and free from unnecessary attention. It lies in understanding when to speak and when to step back, in protecting the intimacy of a moment and in ensuring that every guest feels recognised without ever feeling managed. This quiet intelligence has become one of the defining qualities of her work.

The Wedding Planning Profession

Experience matters most when it becomes the ability to anticipate.

Viviana’s path into weddings began almost unexpectedly. A client she knew through the family jewellery business asked for her help in organising a wedding in Cortina. What started almost as an instinctive gesture revealed something that was already part of her nature: the ability to plan, solve problems, connect people and keep many moving elements under control without losing sight of the experience as a whole.

Over more than fifteen years in the wedding industry, Viviana has learned that the visible beauty of an event represents only a small part of what makes it successful. The real work happens earlier and elsewhere: in the questions asked before decisions are made, in the timing of a transfer, in the conversation with a venue, in the alternative prepared before the weather changes, and in the hundreds of details that should never reach the couple as a source of concern.

Mountain weddings have made this principle even clearer. They require a rare combination of creative sensitivity and operational discipline, because an extraordinary setting can amplify both the emotion of the day and the consequences of poor planning. Viviana’s role is to hold these two dimensions together, protecting the beauty of the vision through a structure strong enough to support it.

Her Idea of Luxury

Luxury is the freedom to be fully present.

For Viviana, luxury is first and foremost discretion and elegance. Not elegance as something ostentatious, but as the ability to understand what is appropriate: the right place, the right rhythm, the right people and the right level of care for the couple who will inhabit the experience.

Viviana’s idea of luxury does not begin with abundance. It begins with appropriateness: the right place, the right rhythm, the right people and the right level of care for the couple who will inhabit the experience. A wedding may be visually magnificent, yet still feel impersonal; it may include the finest details, yet leave its hosts distracted by the machinery behind them. For her, elegance is achieved when every element belongs naturally to the whole and nothing appears to have been added merely to impress.

This is why her work is guided by restraint as much as imagination. The aim is not to fill a day with gestures, but to understand which gestures will matter; not to reproduce a recognisable luxury aesthetic, but to create a celebration that could only belong to that couple, in that place, at that moment in their lives.

The Relationship with Couples

A planner is not at the centre of the wedding. She protects the centre so the couple can remain there.

Destination planning creates a relationship that lasts for months and often crosses languages, time zones and different expectations about Italy. Viviana approaches that relationship with clarity and warmth, knowing that trust is built not only through competence, but through the consistency with which information, decisions and concerns are handled throughout the process.

She does not ask couples to enter a predetermined style or method of celebration. Instead, she listens for what is essential to them, including the details they may struggle to articulate at first, and translates those priorities into a project that feels coherent. The result is not simply a well-managed event, but an experience in which the couple recognises itself.

A Letter from Viviana

Dear Couple,

If you are reading these words, Italy has probably already found a place in the way you imagine your wedding.

Perhaps you have visited the Dolomites and remember the feeling of standing within a landscape that seemed to make everything quieter and more vivid at once. Perhaps you have wandered through Venice and felt drawn to its beauty, its intimacy and its timeless rhythm. Or perhaps you have never been here, but you are dreaming of gathering the people you love in a place that feels far removed from the ordinary.

Planning a destination wedding means entrusting part of your story to people who may, at first, feel far away. I understand how important that choice is.

My role is to make that distance feel smaller: to listen carefully, give structure to your ideas and help you understand each place beyond its most beautiful images. In this way, every decision can feel both inspired and grounded in what is truly possible.

The Dolomites are my roots, and Venice has become my second home. Together, they have shaped the way I experience beauty: in the quiet presence of the mountains, in the poetry of a city reflected on water, and in the small details that reveal the truest character of a place.

They have also taught me that the most meaningful celebrations are not simply set somewhere beautiful. They feel deeply connected to the people at their heart. This is why I will never ask you to fit into a predetermined idea of an Italian wedding. I would rather help you create something personal and unmistakably your own.

If this way of imagining a wedding resonates with you, I would be honoured to hear your story and explore how the Dolomites, Venice or another place in Italy that holds meaning for you might become part of it.

Warmly,

Viviana
