A & T wanted a wedding that belonged only to them: no guest list, no seating plan, just Lake Como in early summer and the time to live it slowly. They came to us with one request — that the day should feel like the beginning of a long Italian summer, not like an event to be managed.
We built it around Villa del Balbianello, the villa on the wooded point of Lenno where the loggia, the terraces and the gardens fall straight into the lake. A few quiet words between the two of them on the terrace, then hours to wander beneath the sculpted plane tree, through the ivy arches and along the balustrades, with the mountains of the lake all around.
The Day
In the afternoon a classic wooden motorboat picked them up at the villa and carried them across the water, past the lakeside villas of the western shore, before leaving them in Bellagio for a walk through its stepped lanes and a last coffee as the light softened on the lake.
A few days later they asked us for one more chapter: a round of golf near Padua, at the foot of the Euganean Hills. Sneakers on and golf bag over the shoulder first, then the wedding dress once again on the green — the most playful pictures of their whole Italian summer.
